About Primal Pursuit
Primal Pursuit is an asymmetric survival game on Roblox set in a prehistoric world by the Primal Pursuit group, where players are split into two opposing teams - Survivors (humans) and Dinosaurs (prehistoric predators). Created in 2023, it has surpassed 100 million visits and maintains 500-1,500 concurrent players. The structure draws direct comparisons to Dead by Daylight: Dinosaurs hold dramatically superior speed and raw power while Survivors rely on coordination, firearms, and vehicles to reach helicopter extraction.
Each match creates a high-stakes asymmetric chase with distinct objectives for each side:
- βοΈ Dinosaur players choose a species from an unlockable roster - Raptors offer high speed at lower damage, while larger species trade mobility for raw power
- πΊοΈ Survivor players coordinate across the map, managing stamina, using firearms, and deploying vehicles to reach the helicopter extraction point
- π Vehicles including the Jeep, Humvee (5-seat with turret), and Scrapper give Survivors tactical options against superior predators
- β³ Seasonal economies run parallel to match rewards - Candy Canes in Christmas events and Pumpkins in Halloween events fund limited-time shop purchases
Bones are the primary meta-currency earned from matches and used to unlock new dinosaur species. Joining the Primal Pursuit group grants a permanent 20% Bones and EXP bonus. The x2 Dinosaur Chance pass doubles your odds of being assigned the Dinosaur role. THE BEAST! pass (1,999 Robux) unlocks a hybrid dinosaur combining T-Rex power and Raptor agility.
The developer collaborates with community creators through partnerships that produce weapon unlocks and cosmetic dinosaur skins as community rewards, rewarding deeply engaged fans alongside regular seasonal events.
