Project: Sonic TD

Project: Sonic TD is a fan-made Sonic the Hedgehog tower defense game on Roblox currently in alpha, developed by the Project: Sonic Tower Defense group and launched in May 2025. It has reached 3.3 million visits with a 95.5% approval rating from nearly 7,000 votes - exceptional numbers for an alpha title in a competitive genre.

Players deploy Sonic universe characters as towers across maps, intercepting enemy waves before they breach the base and earning Rings to buy more units and upgrades. The tower placement and upgrade loop runs in real time:

• ⚔️ Place Sonic franchise characters as towers and press E to upgrade them mid-round
• 🗺️ Sell towers with X to adapt your layout as later waves grow harder
• ⏳ Earn Rsr (rare secondary currency) for premium unlocks and rarer unit types
• 💎 Open Test Crates and Holiday Crates for randomized unit unlocks and timed boosts
• 💎 Collect Shiny unit variants like Shiny Classic Sonic - the rarest cosmetic tier in the game
• 🏆 Unlock Special Stage Tickets for bonus challenge rounds and push into Endless mode

All player data will be wiped when the game exits alpha for full release. Alpha players receive exclusive permanent compensation items - content unavailable after launch - making early play worthwhile despite the wipe.
