Scary Grocery: The Night Shift [HORROR]

Scary Grocery: The Night Shift is a liminal horror game on Roblox developed by Moo Milk Studio, set inside a grocery store during the overnight shift. Launched in November 2025 and updated through April 2026, it reached 38.9 million visits in under five months with an 85.2% approval rating. Up to 30 players share the same store, navigating the tension of normal work tasks while something inhuman slips in among the customers.

The job on paper is simple: scan customers at the register, verify their information on the screen, and decide whether they are real or not. A genuine customer gets checked out. A doppelganger gets dealt with. Between the calls at the register, players mop up messes, restock shelves, dispose of bodies, and buy items to stay equipped for whatever comes next:

The verification system is the core tension: player information appears on a screen for each customer, and asking the right follow-up questions distinguishes the real from the fake. A single missed doppelganger triggers a confrontation with a more dangerous entity. With 30 players per server, the grocery store stays busy and the pressure to catch every anomaly is shared across the whole team.

Scary Grocery sits in the same anomaly-detection subgenre as Scary Shawarma Kiosk: the ANOMALY and Scary Meatball Stall: Bakso Anomalies, bringing the doppelganger verification twist to the familiar night shift horror setting.
