About Seeker vs Hider
Seeker vs Hider is a tactical asymmetric hide-and-seek shooter on Roblox developed by Panhandle, launched in July 2024. The format has a double-phase twist that separates it from standard hide-and-seek: Hiders conceal themselves while the single Seeker hunts them down, but when time runs out the roles reverse - Hiders pick up weapons and must eliminate the Seeker before they escape. The Seeker who fails the clock is now the hunted. Since launch the game has reached over 41 million visits with 700 to 1,200 concurrent players and 155K favorites.
The two-phase structure creates compounding tension. In phase one, Hiders must stay concealed while the Seeker sweeps through the map. In phase two, Hiders with weapons become the threat. The Seeker wins phase one by finding everyone; Hiders win phase two by eliminating the Seeker:
- 🏆 Seeker Role - The single hunter who must find all Hiders before the timer hits zero
- 🗺️ Hider Role - Conceal yourself from the Seeker, then arm up and eliminate them when time expires
- ⚔️ Weapon System - Reload, chamber, fire, and aim controls available to Hiders in phase two; full console and PC support
- 🗺️ Multiple Maps - Three distinct locations with different hiding environments and sightlines
- 🎭 Ragdoll - A physics mechanic accessible via the P key on PC
The game uses standard shooter controls adapted for both PC and console, with sprinting, crouching, aiming, and firing mapped across all input methods. Anti-cheat is strictly enforced - cheating results in bans across all accounts. Nine gamepasses cover gameplay advantages and cosmetic options across both roles.
Seeker vs Hider draws inspiration from Shooter vs Hider, Hide or Die, Murder Mystery 2, and Blood Debt. It is still in active testing with server migrations ongoing, meaning new maps and mechanics continue to arrive as Panhandle develops the game further.
