SharkBite Classic

SharkBite Classic is a survival asymmetric multiplayer game on Roblox where one player is randomly selected as a massive shark while the remaining players scramble to survive on boats, rafts, and platforms. Created by Abracadabra (developers Simoon68 and Opplo) in April 2017, it has accumulated over 1.65 billion visits and 5.1 million favorites - a testament to how well the simple 1-vs-all premise holds up nearly a decade later. The game still draws 400-800 concurrent players despite running in maintenance mode since the sequel launched.

Each round, the player-controlled Shark has one goal: eliminate all other players before time runs out. Survivors fight back with weapons or simply outlast the round. The asymmetry works because both roles are satisfying - playing as the Shark is a power fantasy, while playing as a Survivor demands quick decisions about whether to fight, flee, or hold position on a boat. Rounds are short enough that roles rotate frequently across a session.

Shark Teeth are the main currency, earned by surviving rounds and dealing damage. Between rounds, Teeth are spent in the shop on better weapons - from basic guns to high-damage rocket launchers and Legendary Guns - plus Hull Skins for boat cosmetics. Upgrading your weapon arsenal is the primary Shark Teeth sink. Boats can be upgraded too, offering more survivability against the Shark's biting attacks.

The game has a full sequel - SharkBite 2 - which is where Abracadabra focuses active content development. SharkBite Classic runs with occasional updates, and codes are infrequent - released only on special occasions like visit milestones and anniversaries.
