About Skate Off! [BETA]
Skate Off! is a competitive ice skating experience on Roblox developed by the Skate Off group where players compete in fast-paced figure skating events across two distinct modes. Launched in December 2025, the game accumulated 2.84 million favorites in its first four months - an extraordinary growth rate that places it among the fastest-rising sports games on the platform. With around 1,000 concurrent players in early 2026 and over 35 million visits, it is currently in BETA with active development.
The two game modes target completely different competitive instincts. Classic mode is a social-competitive hybrid: players perform skating routines and compete head-to-head while the server audience votes for the top skater. Performing well is only half the battle - reading the crowd and building appeal matters equally. Hoops mode removes the audience element entirely and becomes a pure physical race:
- π Classic Mode - perform a skating routine and compete for audience votes; the highest-voted skater wins the round
- π Hoops Mode - race across the ice jumping through hoops; the first player to reach 20 hoops wins
- βοΈ Quad Jumps - a high-difficulty technical jump mechanic added in a recent update, rewarding players who master advanced skating moves
- π Performances - the routine element of Classic mode; stylish execution influences how other players vote
The 14-player server cap keeps matches competitive without feeling chaotic, and the offline progression note in the description signals some form of account-level progress between sessions. With 12 gamepasses covering cosmetics and competitive advantages, there is a clear gear path for dedicated players. The BETA label means content is actively expanding - both modes and jump mechanics are being refined based on community feedback.
Skate Off! brings a genuinely different competitive format to Roblox sports games, combining the audience-performance dynamic of dance games with the race-to-finish structure of obstacle course titles.
