About SLAP
SLAP is a competitive multiplayer fighting game on Roblox where players choose a style with a unique ability and slap opponents until they feint - dropping to the ground temporarily. Developed by SLAP by Current. (verified) and launched in September 2025, it accumulated over 37 million visits in its first seven months and holds a 91.9% approval rating from nearly 315,000 votes - one of the largest vote counts for a game in this visit tier on the platform.
The controls are deliberately minimal: left click to slap or dodge, right click to feint intentionally, and Q to fire your style ability. Skill expression comes from timing dodges, baiting opponents with voluntary feints, and choosing the right moment to activate your ability. Going down on purpose can reset a bad fight or bait overconfident opponents into attacking an empty position:
- āļø Styles - fighting archetypes each with a unique Q ability; the main identity and progression layer
- š Lucky Spins - the gacha mechanic for unlocking new styles and cosmetics from the spin pool
- š° Shards - secondary currency for upgrading styles and direct purchases
- ā³ Infinite mode - removes round limits for continuous combat without breaks
- š Gun mode - introduces ranged mechanics that change engagement distance and tactics
Lucky Spins are the primary progression currency - spinning yields new styles from the available pool, with rarer styles requiring more pulls on average. Shards are earned through gameplay and codes, used to optimize the styles you already have. The 36-badge system documents the full player experience, from the tutorial bot fight ("Human" badge) to 150-win streaks ("Let me cook") and encounters with named admin boss characters Tatlis, Chrollo, and Tuf.
SLAP is in official beta with expected bugs. New codes release at like-count milestones - the next drop is confirmed at 300K likes. For a comparable arena slapper with a much larger glove roster, Slap Battles offers a different take on the genre with badge-based progression.
