Survive the Slasher!

Survive the Slasher is a one-versus-all horror survival game on Roblox created by Destact under the PlayBox! brand, where one player is randomly selected as the Slasher and must eliminate all Survivors before time runs out. Survivors have roughly four minutes to hide and evade across voted arena maps. Created in September 2017, it accumulated over 101 million visits and remains one of the older titles in the 100M+ club.

Every round begins with a map vote - players choose from three arenas before a random player becomes the Slasher. Survivors get a brief head start to find hiding spots before the Slasher is released. Small green orbs are scattered around each arena, giving Survivors a reason to move rather than hide in one spot. The Slasher wins by eliminating every Survivor; even one surviving player means a Survivor victory.

Cash is the persistent currency earned from gameplay - surviving as a Survivor, eliminating targets as the Slasher, and collecting orbs all contribute. Cash is spent in the cosmetics shop on custom knives (cosmetic weapons for the Slasher role), famous killer character skins, and survivor cosmetics. The cosmetic system gives Cash a long-term spending target across many sessions.

The game is currently deprecated - the official description states no further updates are planned, and a PlayBox! successor game is in development. Joining the PlayBox! Roblox group still grants a free 5,000 Cash lobby gift. Despite the deprecated status, the game still draws returning and new players through its legacy search traffic.
