Swordburst 3

Swordburst 3 is a Sword Art Online-inspired action RPG on Roblox where players progress through a series of floors, each a distinct world with its own biome, enemies, and boss encounter. Developed by TwinAtlas as the third entry in the Swordburst series (originally started by AbstractAlex), it launched in November 2022 and has earned over 33 million visits and 297K favorites.

Players advance by completing quests, leveling up, and defeating floor bosses to unlock new areas. The game currently features 7 floors, starting with the Gemstone Woodlands and progressing through Redveil Valley, the Arctic Expanse, and beyond. Each floor is guarded by a named boss - Elron the Frenzy Lord blocks access to Floor 2, while Pathos the Fire Lord guards Floor 3.

Combat revolves around 6 weapon types across 7 fighting styles:

• Longswords - balanced all-around melee
• Greatswords - heavy two-handed damage
• Katanas - fast agile strikes
• Scythes - wide-arc sweeping attacks
• Rapiers - precise thrust-based combat
• Spears - extended reach advantage

The Burst system provides special combat abilities that power up as players progress, serving as the game's equivalent of skills and spells. Dungeons on each floor require a Key (Icy Key, Crystal Key, etc.) to enter and offer superior loot compared to open-world grinding. Parties of up to 10 players can run dungeons together, making cooperative raids a core endgame activity.

Gems are the premium currency used for rerolls, Keys, and cosmetics, while Upgrading Anvils found at the start of each floor and in the New Arcadia hub let players enhance weapon and armor stats.
