About Waste Time
Waste Time is an incremental idle simulator on Roblox built around a single ironic concept - the only way to progress is to sit still and let time pass. Developed by Roll under the "No time at all" group and launched in December 2025, it has already surpassed 42 million visits with 2K-8K concurrent players, strong retention for a game under five months old.
Players idle inside rooms to earn Time, the primary resource. Time is converted into Eons at the yellow conversion platform in the main lobby at a rate of 1,000 Time per Eon. Each Eon provides a permanent +50% boost to Time gain, creating compounding returns that drive the entire progression curve. As Eons accumulate, players unlock portals to new zones with higher multipliers:
- Library (requires 10M Time) - grants 1.5x Time boost, the first advanced zone
- The Future (requires 1 Sextillion Time) - grants 2x boost
- The End (requires 1 Tredecillion Time) - grants 5x boost
- Zenith - late-game zone with extreme time scaling
The real depth emerges at 500 Qa (quadrillion) Eons, where the Enchantment system unlocks. Enchantments are passive multipliers that stack with Eon bonuses and zone multipliers for exponential growth. Enhancement Locks pin a specific enchantment stat during rerolls, protecting valuable rolls from being randomized. Enhancement Rerolls let players re-randomize enchantment stats. Both items become critical for optimizing late-game builds.
The game follows a chapter structure with hidden secrets and discoverable mechanics. Chapter 3 introduced Quantum mechanics as a new progression layer beyond Eons and Enchantments. Joining the "No time at all" Roblox group also grants a permanent +10% Time boost that stacks with all other multipliers.
