BUCKSHOT

BUCKSHOT is a tabletop psychological horror game on Roblox by crookit, directly inspired by Mike Klubnika's indie horror game Buckshot Roulette. Players sit around a cursed table with a single shotgun loaded with a hidden mix of live and blank shells - on your turn you choose to fire at an opponent or at yourself. Blanks fired at yourself grant an extra turn; live shells deal damage. Launched in January 2024, it has accumulated 81.3 million visits and 357K favorites with a 96.6% approval rating, and its Discord community has crossed 2.5 million members - one of the largest game-specific servers on Roblox.

The core skill is probability tracking. Each round announces the total live and blank count (for example, "3 live, 4 blank"), but the order is hidden. Players track fired shells to update real-time odds as the round progresses. Item cards distributed between turns shift the math significantly:

• ⚔️ Magnifying Glass - reveals the current shell as live or blank; pure information that often determines whether to fire at yourself or an opponent
• ⚔️ Saw (Hacksaw) - doubles the damage of the next live round; combined with a confirmed live shell via Magnifying Glass, it becomes lethal
• ⚔️ Handcuffs - forces an opponent to skip their next turn, granting you two consecutive shots
• ⚔️ Beer - ejects the current shell without firing, useful for skipping a suspected live shell to secure your extra turn
• ⚔️ Adrenaline - steals an opponent's item and forces immediate use; high-risk, high-reward swing play
• ⚔️ Pills - random health effect, either a heal or self-damage gamble

The long-term hook is the cosmetic economy. Winning rounds earns Cash, which funds case openings for shotgun skins in six rarity tiers: Common through Contraband. Four case tiers - Normal, Deluxe, Exclusive, and Hell - contain progressively rarer skin pools. Some skins roll with a TrakStat module tracking total kills with that specific skin, similar to StatTrak in CS:GO. TrakStat skins carry a significant premium in the player trading market.

A 2026 Bots Update added AI opponents with calibrated difficulty, making solo practice possible and filling tables when full human lobbies are not available. BUCKSHOT competes for the same Buckshot Roulette adaptation audience as BUCKSHOT FRENZY, which focuses on a 16-player social multiplayer format.
