About Azure Mines
Azure Mines is a mining and tycoon hybrid game on Roblox created by Berezaa under Berezaa Games Live - the developer also behind Mining Simulator 2's spiritual predecessor niche and known for the related game Miner's Haven. Players excavate procedurally-generated underground caves to collect ores, then bring those resources back to the surface to fund a tycoon-style base restoration. Launched in June 2016, it has accumulated over 51 million visits across nearly a decade and remains one of the most polished mining experiences on the platform.
The game separates itself from pure idle tycoons by requiring active physical exploration. Players descend into cave systems, navigate branching passages, and manually mine ore veins - the deeper you go, the rarer and more valuable the ores. All progress saves and loads automatically, and the game includes full Xbox controller support. Berezaa later released the underlying engine as the open-source Infinite Mining Game Kit on the Roblox catalog. The activities available in Azure Mines:
- πΊοΈ Cave exploration - procedurally-generated underground systems with hand-designed ore types at different depth layers
- π Ore mining - rarer, higher-value ores appear deeper underground, rewarding players willing to push further into the caves
- π Base building - surface tycoon pads accept mined ore value to unlock new structures, machines, and facility upgrades
- πΌ Trading - the Merchant Kit pass enables better item trading with other players in your server
- π Completionist - a full-game completion badge for players who finish every progression milestone
Progress auto-saves between sessions, and the 10-player server cap creates a cooperative atmosphere where players occasionally share discoveries. Eleven badges document the full achievement ladder, from first-time descents to the Completionist badge for total progression completion. Azure Mines holds a distinct position as an early Roblox mining hybrid that still holds up through its polish and open-source legacy.
