Shrek Swamp Tycoon

Shrek Swamp Tycoon was an officially licensed tycoon game on Roblox developed by DreamWorks, where players rebuilt Shrek's destroyed swamp from the ground up. Launched in January 2024, it reached 13.2M visits and 376K+ favorites before its servers shut down on June 30, 2025 - making it a rare piece of Roblox history as an official DreamWorks-branded title.

The tycoon loop had players placing and upgrading swamp-themed structures to generate passive Coins over time. Each building added to the reconstruction of Shrek's home, with upgrades increasing coin output and unlocking new parts of the swamp:

• 🏠 Swamp Building - place and upgrade structures to reconstruct Shrek's home
• 💰 Coin Generation - structures passively produce Coins used for further upgrades
• 💎 2x Coins Boost - temporary currency multiplier available from codes
• 🏆 Completion - fully rebuild the swamp across the session's progression arc

With only 7 players per server, the experience was intentionally intimate compared to most Roblox tycoons. The small server cap created a quieter atmosphere that fit the swamp-rebuilding theme well.

The DreamWorks license gave the game authenticity and marketing reach that independent tycoons rarely achieve. All in-game purchases were disabled at the shutdown announcement, and servers went offline June 30, 2025. The game is no longer playable.
